From paste to stain
Good colour needs a little care. Here is what happens after we leave.
- Day 0Fresh pasteThe design is drawn and left to dry on the skin.
- 6 to 8 hoursKeep it onDab lemon and sugar, and do not wash it.
- Next morningFlake it offRub gently with oil. Do not use water.
- Day 2Darkest stainThe orange turns deep brown and lasts a week or two.

I have been drawing mehendi for ten years, starting with my cousins' weddings. I mix my own henna, I draw every line by hand, and I never rush a bride. Send me your date and a picture of the outfit, and we will plan the design together.
